Sodexo Remote Sites is a recognized leader in the provision of high quality food and facilities management services to the oil & gas, mining, and construction industries in North America and the Caribbean (onshore/offshore). The Vice President, Operations (VPO) leads Remote Sites and Delta Catering operating units within the Gulf of Mexico Zone in obtaining financial, client satisfaction, market growth and retention goals. This position provides direction and focus for implementing programs and policies set at the Zone and Division level.
The VPO develops operational strategies and aligns resources to ensure the overall profit and loss realized by the Gulf of Mexico operations. The Vice President, Operations will: Develop and execute strategic plan by implementing short and long-term goals that align with the scope of service, mission and values. Lead the development of business plan and budget that supports business goals. Reviews and analyzes financial statements, provides strategic leadership of direct reports and operations team to ensure client satisfaction and account retention. Actively partners with Human Resources to ensure the ongoing evaluation and development of operations team and organizational positioning for future growth. Develops and maintains a valued-add business relationship with executive-level clients to drive retention, generate organic growth, and assure quality service delivery.
Monitors operations through site visits, ensures a safe work environment for employees by enforcing the execution of all safety programs and partners with Risk Management. Assesses financial risk and opportunities of the Gulf operations and communicates results to the client, Sodexo senior management and direct reports. Initiates action plans as necessary. Works collaboratively as part of Zone leadership team in assuring cross-department goal alignment and attainment of Zone objectives. Will partner with Business Development in acquiring new business. Ensures implementation of the business plan for the client that establishes a rapport, promotes partnership and fulfils the clients? needs and expectations. Promotes and supports workplace diversity initiatives. Ensure compliance with federal, state, local regulations and Sodexo and Client policies and procedures.
Have extensive Operations leadership experience (preferably 10 - 15 years) in Remote Sites such as offshore drilling, construction, mining or other industrial experience. Bachelor's Degree, at least 8 years prior experience in leading, coaching, and developing direct reports.
A collaborative team player with excellent communication, influencing and leadership skills. Motivation and a commitment to innovation and executing best practices. A high level of Microsoft computer literacy in Word, Excel. The ability to communicate in Spanish and/or French preferred.

Requirements |
Serves as the primary representative for client accounts within a designated geographic area including policy compliance, staff training and development, financial performance, and client retention. Responsible for successfully coordinating and directing all activities within the area through DMs, regional support staff and regional employees. Works in all matters relating to contract and account operations. Ensures that all employees under his/her operational control comply with all client, government, corporate and Division policies and procedures.
